The entire 5th grade class of Indian Ridge Elementary went to the State Capitol to hear the Colorado House vote on our resolution - HJR15-1025, which designates May 1st as Children's Health Day in Colorado.
The Active Citizen students have been working towards this achievement for over a year, and were very excited to go to the Capitol and have the opportunity to witness the vote. This bill was co-sponsored by Rep. Rhonda Fields (D) and Rep. Jack Tate (R). We were lucky enough to watch this happen in the the State House, and we showed a video to the Representatives in the house. (Click to see the video)
